Ekundayo Game Reserve

Ekundayo Game Reserve:

Down South where Blue Wildebeasts, Gazelles, Zebras and Buffaloes graze, and set in a long dormant volcanic crater. Where spotted hyenas can be found grouping around lone beasts and leopards resting on tree branches sleeping through the mid-day sun, even the mighty lion's roar can be heard along with the thud of a fresh kill hitting the ground. Only fierce warriors lived with these wild animals, sticking to eating mostly cattle. These nomads kept most outsiders from exploiting the resources of the land over the years and also protecting the wildlife from poachers, although rumours abound of the animals doing their fair share to protect themselves against these illegal hunters. Open plains stretch out for miles covered in high golden grasses, dotted with various trees and shrubs.

A grove of Acacias and palms encircle a watering hole fed by a little brook from the high side of the crater. Koppes, granite outcroppings speckle themselves in and around the crater, some large enough to be elevated platforms out of the way enough for battle to occur. Underground holes and crevices along the crater walls and throughout the plains provide safe refuge for small creatures.
This setting has been known to harbor mysterious creatures that govern themselves, they feed on the cattle, and have come and gone unannounced over the years. With a wide area to roam, there's never any particularly crowded areas, although a few fights for dominance have jumped out. The local nomads tend to stay away from these mysterious creatures as legends of blood drainers and those who take on animal form are still very much alive. Ekundayo is a place fully governed and self sustained by the wild forces of nature.
